High Definition Aluminium Dibond Prints of Fractal Flames
Who I am
Artist, illustrator, photographer and web designer from Altrincham in Cheshire in the UK. I attended Manchester High School of Art and went on to become a commercial artist and ultimately an I.T. tutor specialising in graphics. I became a technical illustrator, airbrush artist and photo retoucher. I also worked on occasion, as a watercolour artist and portrait painter as well as producing illustrations for encyclopaedias and school text books for technical subjects like science, chemistry, geography etc. More recently, after getting accreditation for Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, I became an IT tutor. With my background in publishing I was able help other graphic artists, printers and publishers get to grips with all the latest software.

A Glare-free, Matte Finish
Waterproof, lightweight and strong. The Direct Print on Aluminium Dibond ensures excellent picture quality. The 1/8″ (3 mm) aluminium Dibond backing consists of a black polyethylene core sandwiched between 2 aluminium sheets coated with a platinum-white printing surface.

Very High Definition Prints
I use UV Fine Art inks for this state-of-the-art printing process, which is optimized for photo printing. The artwork is created to a very high quality 300dpi resolution and the ultra-modern 7-colour printing technique produces vivid colours and sharp details.

Composite Lightweight Panel
A triple-layered composite material, it ensures stability and durability while maintaining a low weight. Ideal for easy wall hanging in any format and makes oversized and panorama formats possible.

Your Prints Arrive Ready To Hang
The integrated wall-mounts on the back of the picture make it easy to hang it securely. Depending on the size of your picture, there are 3 different wall-mounts included in the standard price: Hooks, for smaller pictures. Parallel aluminium rails, or a Bordering aluminium rail for larger pictures
Design
My motto has always been "Pay Attention to Detail". The design goes through various stages and I take great pains to ensure the high quality and fine resolution throughout. The process involves several types of software. The technical starting point is 'Apophysis' an open source fractal flame software. These are 3D images which can be rotated and scaled, or zoomed in to their detail. There are an infinite number of settings to navigate through. Much of the 'art' is achieved with post-rendering in Adobe Photoshop.
Strategy
I have a huge passion for digital art as it brings together all my other interests of art, technical illustration, photography, computing and my love of mathematics and geometry. My work is gaining an international reputation, along with sales of canvas prints I have also had commissions for book covers, CD album covers and for larger installations in the corporate market. My long-term aim is to travel extensively as a 'digital nomad' not just selling online, but also exhibiting internationally as I go.
Digital
Digital Art isn't paint-on-canvas and as such must be viewed on screen or printed out. It's not just about the visual image, but also about managing the hardware and software well. A fast, high spec computer is required and it is usually even then, stretched to the limit.
Marketing
Art is not the easiest commodity to sell online, but to counter that, modern social media is a very powerful marketing tool. The best, most impressive website could remain hidden without people caring and sharing.
How I work.
1 I love nature and computers. Nature inspires me and technology impresses me.
2 I love fractal flames because these mathematical algorithms are found in nature too.
3 As a digital artist, computers are my life and art is my passion.
